# Financial data

> Read the overview, cards and bills, recurring expenses, installments, goals, investments, connections, and notifications.

These operations are read-only and need the `pfm:read` scope. Money is a decimal string with a `currency_code`, such as `"1842.90"`. Dates are `YYYY-MM-DD`, and timestamps are ISO 8601 in UTC. The numbers are the same numbers the Visor app shows.

## Overview

[`GET /v1/spaces/{space_id}/overview`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/overview/get-the-financial-overview) returns a snapshot of the space for the current financial period. The period follows the month start day of the space, not the calendar month.

| Field | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `bank_balance` | Balance of the visible bank accounts |
| `credit_card_debt` | Amount owed on the credit cards |
| `net_worth` | Accounts and investments minus debts |
| `open_bills_total` | Amount still to pay across the open card bills |
| `upcoming_bills` | Bills due in the next 30 days, soonest first |
| `period` | `income`, `expenses`, and `result` of the period |
| `projection` | Balance at the end of the period, with expected income and committed outflows |

All amounts are in the display currency of the user.

## Cards and bills

[`GET /v1/spaces/{space_id}/cards`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/cards/list-credit-cards) lists the visible credit cards of the space with the limit, the used limit, and the dates of the current bill. The card `id` is the same as the account `id`.

[`GET /v1/spaces/{space_id}/cards/{card_id}/bills`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/cards/list-the-bills-of-a-credit-card) lists the bills (faturas) of one card. Filter by due date with `from` and `to`. Without them, the list covers the current month. When `amount_is_estimate` is `true`, Visor rebuilt the total from synced transactions, and the bank can still change it.

## Subscriptions and fixed bills

Visor splits recurring expenses into two lists:

* [`GET /v1/spaces/{space_id}/subscriptions`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/recurring-expenses/list-subscriptions) lists subscriptions you can cancel, such as streaming services.
* [`GET /v1/spaces/{space_id}/fixed-bills`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/recurring-expenses/list-fixed-bills) lists fixed bills, such as rent, utilities, and school.

A recurring expense is in one list only. Both lists show active expenses, with the next due date and the date of the last matched charge.

## Installments

[`GET /v1/spaces/{space_id}/installment-plans`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/installments/list-installment-plans) lists purchases in installments. `paid_installments` and `total_installments` are the `X de N` of the app. Set `status=completed` to list the plans you marked as completed.

## Goals

[`GET /v1/spaces/{space_id}/goals`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/goals/list-goals) lists active and completed goals, with the target, the amount saved, and the progress. The emergency fund is a goal with `kind: emergency_fund`. Filter with `status=active`, `completed`, or `archived`.

## Investments

[`GET /v1/spaces/{space_id}/investments`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/investments/list-investments) lists connected and manual investments, largest first. `summary.total_value` is the total in the display currency, and it skips investments that you left out of net worth.

## Open Finance connections

[`GET /v1/spaces/{space_id}/connections`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/connections/list-open-finance-connections) lists the bank connections that feed accounts of the space, with the sync status and the last successful sync. When `requires_reauth` is `true`, reconnect the bank in the Visor app.

## Your profile and notifications

[`GET /v1/me`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/user/show-the-current-user) returns your name, email, language, display currency, effective plan, and active space.

[`GET /v1/notifications`](https://docs.visorfinance.app/api-reference/notifications/list-notifications) lists your notifications from every space, newest first. Use `unread=true` to list only unread notifications. The list has pages, like the [transaction list](https://docs.visorfinance.app/transactions.md#list-and-export-your-history): pass `next_cursor` as `after` to read the next page.
